The annual John Blue Cotton Festival is held the second weekend of October each year on the grounds of the historic John Blue home. Sherry was there this year – the 34th annual event – to talk about spinning cotton.

Highlights included a horse-powered cotton gin, displays of old timey tractors and cars, ice cream made on the premises for sale, crafts, music, and face painting.
